Dear Jesus, thank You for Your wonderful, mighty, eternal, peaceful, loving self. Thank You for loving and protecting me. Help me hold on to the truth of who You are and what You’re capable of. Amen.

DAY 50

Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”

Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God.

LUKE 18:42–43

IF SOMEONE THROWS YOU A BALL, YOU HAVE TO PUT your hands out to catch it or it will fall to the ground. If someone passes you the salt, you have to reach out and grab it or it will spill, and your food won’t get seasoned.

Jesus offers you love, grace, forgiveness, strength, hope, peace, and encouragement. But you have to receive them. It’s one thing to read these pages and say, “Oh great, Jesus loves me,” or “Oh cool, God made me on purpose.” It’s another thing to truly receive these truths. To believe them. To put them into practice.

The next time you’re feeling lonely, receive the truth that Jesus promises to be with you always (Matthew 28:20). The next time you have no idea what to do, receive the truth that God has great plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11). When you feel like you don’t measure up, receive the truth that God created you wonderfully (Psalm 139:14). Are you ready to start truly receiving all the goodness God offers? Turn your hands over and open them up so they’re facing the sky. Then pray the words below.
